The competition proceedings are conducted by the Competition Commission
The appointment of individual commissions is established in the regulations for the respective positions
The Commission prepares recommendations and a ranking list of candidates participating in the competition, guided by the principles outlined in the "European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers," and presents it to the Institute's Director
Members of the recruitment commissions should have relevant experience in candidate assessment and should be selected, as far as possible, while maintaining gender balance
All individuals participating in recruitment procedures must adhere to the principles specified in the Institute's Recruitment Policy
The appointment of the competition commission and its chairperson is made by the Institute's Director's decree
The commission consists of at least 3 individuals
A person with reasonable doubts about their impartiality cannot be a commission member; in the event of such circumstances, the decision to exclude a commission member is made by the chairperson
Commission work can proceed if the chairperson and at least 2 members are present
Commission members must have authorization to process personal data for the purposes of the specific recruitment
Tasks
Verification of the application deadline. Applications submitted after the deadline are subject to rejection and are destroyed after the competition concludes
Examination of submitted applications for formal compliance. Applications lacking the required documents are subject to rejection and are destroyed after the competition concludes. In justified cases, the Commission may request candidates to supplement documents
Verification of candidates' compliance with competition requirements. Applications from candidates who do not meet competition requirements are subject to rejection and are destroyed after the competition concludes
Determination of the number of applications meeting competition requirements and eligible to proceed to the next stage of the competition
Establishment of detailed assessment criteria and weights
Evaluation of candidates in accordance with the established criteria, taking into account the "European Framework for Research Careers"
While evaluating candidates, the commission may, among other things: conduct an interview with the candidate; appoint reviewers of scientific achievements; request the candidate to conduct a seminar/lecture/presentation
