The pages of the website can be enlarged to 300% without any problems. The size of the font can also be changed. The website is based on CSS styles, but the content of the pages may be easily readable even when the styles are off. The website can be navigated using only a keyboard.
Standard keyboard shortcuts can be used to navigate the website.
The website does not contain keyboard shortcuts that would conflict with assistive technology (e.g. reading programs) or user’s system and applications.

Everyone has the right to request the accessibility of the website, the mobile application or any element thereof. It is also possible to request information in alternative forms, such as reading a digitally unavailable document, describing the content of a film without an audio description, etc. The request should include the identity of the person making the request, an indication of which website or mobile application is involved and the way he or she can be contacted. If the person requests information in an alternative form, he or she should also specify the form of that information. The public entity should comply with the request immediately and no later than within 7 days. If this deadline cannot be met, the public entity shall immediately inform the person making the request when it will be possible to meet the request, which shall not be longer than 2 months from the date of the request. Where digital accessibility cannot be provided, the public entity may propose an alternative means of accessing the information. Where the public entity refuses to comply with an accessibility request or to provide an alternative means of accessing information, the requesting entity may complain about the lack of digital accessibility of a website, a mobile application or an element of a website or mobile application.
Once the above procedure has been exhausted, a request may also be made to the Commissioner for Human Rights.
The Henryk Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics Polish Academy of Sciences is located at 152 Radzikowskiego Street, 31-342 Krakow.
The premises of IFJ PAN can be accessed by two entrance gates. Because of the specificity of the object, access to its premises is restricted: visitors who are not employees may require a pass. Both the driveway secured by barriers and the pedestrian entrance require an access card; the card can be collected together with a pass from the security personnel of one of the guardhouses located at each gate.
The main entrance gate can be accessed from the south side, from Radzikowskiego Street. The guardhouse near the gate operates 24 hours a day, including every weekday and holidays.
The north gate can be accessed from Mięsowicza Street intersecting Sosnowiecka Street. The gate is open on working days from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
On the premises of the Institute there are parking spaces designated for people with disabilities. The guardhouse personnel may assist visitors in accessing the buildings. Assistance is also provided to the disabled visitors on wheelchairs wishing to visit the Institute. People using wheelchairs may be assisted by guards and can reach the desired place following a designated path.
Wheelchair users may access the main complex by a ramp located at building 0 from the north side. The building is part of the main complex of buildings that includes: building 0, 2, 3 and 5, as well as an administrative building number 4. A map illustrating the location of the buildings, internal roads and parking lots may be collected at the guardhouses.
Inside the main building, there are two elevators – a cargo-passenger one located in building 0 and a passenger one in building 4. These elevators, along with the installed platform, enable overcoming the level difference between buildings 5 and 4 and provide easy access to all floors of the buildings within the main complex. In the near future, actions are planned to replace the ramp at building 0 with a vertical platform. There are also plans to designate additional parking spaces for people with disabilities, as well as to install a system for calling the guard for assistance for the driver of a disabled vehicle.
Inside the main complex there are two toilets adapted to the needs of disabled people that can be accessed from the ground floor level.
