Ombudsman – Advocate for Ethical Rights and Values in Scientific Work

The Ombudsman's task is to engage in activities at the Institute aimed at providing assistance to all employees and doctoral students in resolving their complaints and problems, addressing conflict situations, promoting amicable dispute resolution methods, and advocating for high ethical standards in work.


Ombudsman at IFJ PAN

Directive No. 27/2023 of the Director of the Henryk Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences dated June 15, 2023, regarding the appointment of the Ombudsman - Advocate for Rights and Ethical Values at the Henryk Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The Ombudsman's responsibilities include, in particular:

  • Presenting a neutral and unbiased perspective on a given matter
  • Acting as a mediator and facilitating the resolution of work-related disputes as a neutral party
  • Providing advice on how to address reported work-related issues and assisting in written and oral communication
  • Directing individuals to the appropriate offices and services/units designated to address specific work-related matters
  • Collaborating with the Doctoral Student Advocate of IFJ PAN
